SIO Sikkim Addressed Media Workshop – Vartalap

On 18th July 2023, “Media Workshop – Vartalap” was organized by Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. Dr. L.P. Sharma, State Informatics Officer, NIC Sikkim, gave a detailed presentation on “Digital Transformation – India Marching Ahead” covering all the ongoing projects undertaken by National Informatics Centre (NIC). He elaborated on the various services provided by NIC to State & Central government offices in the state of Sikkim, such as Networking services, Video conferencing services, Cloud computing services, and e-Governance Services. His presentation shed light on the significant role played by NIC in facilitating digital advancements in India. He also presented a copy of the project profile of NIC Sikkim to Ms Jane Namchu, Additional Director General (North East Zone), PIB, Guwahati and Ms Monika, IIS, Deputy Director (M&C), PIB, Gangtok.
The workshop was inaugurated by Mrs. Pabitra Bhandari Hon’ble Chairman Sikkim Backward Commission and was addressed by General Manager NABARD, Professor of Sikkim University, Senior Journalists among others.
